Verb 'to be' — the most important verb
'To be' es el verbo más importante en inglés. Tiene formas irregulares: I am, you are, he/she/it is, we are, they are.
- I am a cabin attendant. (yo soy)
- You are in seat 14A. (usted está)
- The seatbelt sign is on. (la señal está)
- We are landing in 20 minutes. (estamos)
- They are waiting at the gate. (están)
Ejercicio: Completa: 'I ___ from Spain. The captain ___ in the cockpit. We ___ ready for take-off.'
Questions with 'Do you...?'
Para hacer preguntas en Present Simple, usa 'Do you...?' al principio. Es la estructura más usada en servicio de cabina.
- Do you need any help? (¿Necesita ayuda?)
- Do you have your boarding card? (¿Tiene su tarjeta de embarque?)
- Do you speak English? (¿Habla inglés?)
- Do you understand? (¿Entiende?)
