2. The airport map

   The key areas: check-in, security check, boarding gates, apron (where the aircraft park), control tower, crew room, immigration and quarantine, customs inspection, baggage claim, and arrivals hall. Naming them in English is essential to communicate with other aviation professionals.

   Las zonas clave: check-in, control de seguridad, puertas de embarque, apron (donde aparcan los aviones), torre de control, crew room, inmigración y cuarentena, inspección de aduanas, recogida de equipaje y hall de llegadas. Nombrarlas en inglés es esencial para comunicarte con el resto de profesionales.

3. The people you'll work with

   La gente con la que trabajarás

   A flight involves many professionals: the captain and first officer on the flight deck, the ground crew and ramp agents who load and service the aircraft, the caterers who supply the meals, the check-in and gate agents, maintenance engineers, security officers — and, of course, the cabin crew connecting them all with the passengers.

   En un vuelo participan muchos profesionales: el captain y el first officer en el flight deck, el personal de tierra y los ramp agents que cargan y atienden el avión, los caterers que suministran las comidas, los agentes de check-in y de puerta, los ingenieros de mantenimiento, los oficiales de seguridad — y, por supuesto, el TCP, que los conecta a todos con los pasajeros.
